How to Load the Shader Node Group

If you want to use the LCD RGB Shader in your own project without opening the provided .blend file directly, follow these steps to append the node group:

  1. Open your own Blender project.
  2. Go to the top-left menu: File > Append.
  3. Navigate to the downloaded file: LCD_RGB_Shader.blend.
  4. Inside the file, open the NodeTree folder.
  5. Select the node group named LCD_RGB_Shader (or the exact name you used).
  6. Click Append.

The shader will now be available in the Shader Editor under Add > Group > LCD_RGB_Shader.

Using the Shader:

  • Create a new material for your object.
  • In the Shader Editor, delete the default Principled BSDF if needed.
  • Press Shift + AGroupLCD_RGB_Shader.
  • Connect the output of the Image Texture node to the Image Input socket of the LCD_RGB_Shader node group.
  • Connect it to the Material Output node.
  • Adjust the parameters (Pixel Size, Emission Strength) as needed.
  • Connect the UV Map to the group Texture Coordinate.
